Arero Pounamu isn’t just a Te Reo Māori programme: it’s a beacon of empowerment for all learners. Our team of experienced kaiako that have taught a range of levels across various education settings and kaupapa. Primary, Kura Kaupapa through to Tertiary and University, Kura Reo, Te Ahu o te reo, whānau, hapū and iwi forums to name a few.

As co-founders, and individual business owners we are dedicated to the resurgence of Te Reo Māori and Tikanga Māori. We’ve collaborated to create this transformative opportunity.

Your journey may face hurdles, from external pressures to inner doubts. Whether you are pioneering Te Reo Māori in your whānau, or feeling isolated in your pursuit,  having many commitments,  age barriers and/or a lack of resources . Perhaps you may have a fear of making mistakes,  stopping your journey due to criticism.

We understand the feeling of disconnection and the hunger to learn Te Reo Māori and Mātauranga Māori in Aotearoa, New Zealand. We are here to provide a nurturing space for authenticity and expression.
