Te Hiringa Hauora Matauranga
Providing Social services to maori and the community through whanau support in the areas of child abuse prevention and holiday programmes.
Iwi Social Services has a primary focus on youth. The Unit Manager Rawhiti Higgott also works with the schools and colleges of the Kapiti Coast assisting our whanau and rangatahi.
Te Hiringa provides social services funded by Child, Youth and Family Services and participates in a number of local forum. Ra's expertise in working with whanau on the coast connects him with those in need of a range of services which he is able to do through the many networking meetings and panels he attends.

There is a demand for further services locally that are accessible and appropriate to the needs of many maori whanau living locally. Other areas of care include assisting schools in catering for the needs of those maori youth deemed as 'at risk' and in need of specialist care and services.
