EventThe following process are questions / patai that Hora Te Pai Clients will be asked when they ring to make an appointment at the Health Clinic;
The Client will be asked:
· Do you want to see the Doctor because you may have Flu type symptoms;
If your answer is YES:
You will then be asked the following questions
· Have you been overseas in the last four days?
· Have you had contact with people returning from overseas and that person has been unwell?
If your answer is YES:
You will then be told not to come into the Health Clinic = PLEASE RING
1. Regional Public Health the number is – 0800 120 064
2. You may not get through straight away but still persist
3. Regional Public Health will question you further
4. You’re Household/Whanau are to stay at home
5. Call Hora Te Pai if any further concerns
If your answer is NO and you do not have Flu symptoms
6. An appointment will be booked with GP or Practice Nurse if requested
There will be further discussion with client
The following processes are questions / patai that Hora Te Pai Clients will be asked when they arrive for an appointment at the Health Clinic
The Client will be asked to read = RED SIGN
· Have you been overseas recently?
· Or have you been in contact with anybody who has returned recently from overseas (4 DAYS) and have flu like symptoms
· “IF YOUR ANSWER IS YES”
RETURN HOME IMMEDIATELY AND RING SWINE FLUE HOT LINE 0800 120 064
The following Kawa / Protocols are processes for those Hora Te Pai Clients who have an appointment and donot have any FLU LIKE SYMPTOMS and have not been overseas in the last four days or been in contact with anyone who has returned from overseas in the last four days;
1. The Client will be asked to follow a caution barrier to a designated area;
2. The Client will be asked to put on a face mask (verbal assistance provided) before entering the Health Clinic;
3. All Clients will be asked to put on a face mask Tamariki / children, Pakeke / Adults, Kuia / Koroua / Senior Citizens.
The above Kawa / Protocols are to safe guard all those Clients attending appointments as well as the Hora Te Pai Kaimahi / Staff and Takuta / Doctors from the Swine Flu Influenza.
